Monkhouse ?

You mean Bob or the other one? They were both comedians.

Bit concerned its from Jostein, not another Scandinavian I hope, We need a proven EFL Div 1 or 2 or even Conference striker, I just don't think Scandinavians will find their feet quickly enough

Are proven players though really going to be allowed to leave clubs in the January window?

I will, at the moment, greet any forward with a goal scoring record, from any continent, with open arms...we need somebody through that door asap but not a panic buy, hopefully it's someone who's been well scouted and that the discussions have been ongoing and that he wants to join our club to score goals and not just be yet another squad members to push the others for the shirt...

Jostein says incoming but can't reveal any info?  True what someone posted... He lives in Norway and knows more than us 😂.

I'm sure he isn't going to leave Greek champions AEK Athens where he was a regular last season and Champions League football for Grimsby so I don't think you need to worry on that score.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Looking more likely that the rumoured new player was only an outgoing player 😞

Hopefully something will happen this morning but will no doubt go into next week rather than announcing on a match day.

On the PR-front alone, that would be a fúck up of Beagrie-esque proportions. I’m not doubting that he has his qualities, I just don’t see him fitting into the Jolley philosophy.

I know we need a target man - but not one for the fans to throw insults at.

If you saw him sat on the bench tonight then that says it all. Hardly played all season, unfit is doing him a favour.

On the PR-front alone, that would be a fúck up of Beagrie-esque proportions. I’m not doubting that he has his qualities, I just don’t see him fitting into the Jolley philosophy.

It would be the quick pass, break at speed Jolley way undone in one go. Cannot stand the fat cheating $hitbag, be counting down the days til he packed in before I was back at BP.

So a no from me

Not saying it's going to happen but any player would get my full support when playing for Town.......even Rhead.

Don't shoot the messenger, but I've been told Matt Rhead signing on Monday....

Is he out of work?

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

We were in for a Swedish CF , Jolley wanted to buy him for  10000 euros, but Fenty shut it down as he wanted 3000 pounds a week.

If he could score goals the home gates would increase by a thousand at least,

That would pay his wages easy.

I would have Matt Rhead here in a shot. He can't play 90 minutes but he wins his flick one, his attacking positioning is great and most importantly, he scores goals at this level.

10 years too old and at least 3 stone over weight to get into a Jolley side.

Plus he’s a total knob!!

I think rhead is a cheat too but how many times as town fans have we said we are too nice. Maybe a rhead type player at set pieces would be an added bonus, gives keepers and defenders grief. I think he is a better player thank akinde pen at Lincoln. Maybe the time is right for town to start playing to the ref and rhead certainly knows how to do that. Maybe he could be our cheering coach.

By giving keepers grief you mean endangering their lives with a spiteful forearm smash across  the throat?  We are too nice,  but it's not a physical thing. Thomas scored with his hand the other week and it didn't go down too well on here,  and we hoped it was a one off so changing to a cynical system, especially one that that employs pieman Rhead can only divide fans further.

Ok , I'll bite because your original post is total boll*x. How would you know what wage he was offered but more to the point, a transfer fee of less than £10,000 for any player of worth is fantasy land.

You get one, you get the other.
If we're just signing a loutish forward then there's plenty to choose from, how about Danny Wright? Conference at the mo but getting more gameplay, brutal, loudmouthed and in the ears of officials all day long. For bonus points, he treads on the backs of the opposition goalie when they're laid out.

Well, as the polite and sporting way has brought us a stupendous return of one goal in 450 minutes, perhaps it is time for a change?

9 in 62 for Lincoln.

9 in 72 for Mansfield.

(sub appearances included to weigh the point my way )
