"EFL agrees new five-year £595m TV deal with Sky but risks wrath of clubs. Suggestions are that up to 15 Championship clubs want to reject the Sky offer, believing it tied the league in too long and was not worth enough money. Some of those clubs are also understood to have threatened to break away from the EFL if the deal is signed".
Where will we be in 5 years time with the Premiership top clubs already threatening to breakaway FFS ?

Do we have an area big enough?
Once complete, the new 8,000 all-seater Community Stadium will play home to both York City Football Club and York City Knights Rugby League Club.
The leisure facilities will include a swimming pool, gym, dance studio, indoor and outdoor climbing facilities, and a sports hall with spectator seating.
The commercial developments will include a cinema complex with IMAX screen, five restaurants, and various retail units.

Will there be any L1 and L2 games on TV because at the moment there might as well not be a TV deal?

20 games a season for L1 and L2 but the playoffs are 6 and there are 48 clubs. The chances of us getting any TV money are miniscule other than the standard amount everyone gets.

Refuse to pay for sky sports but I've already bought ifollow for 3 games this season. Would definetly be on board with this!

Think it's clear streaming rather than live TV matches is the future which may be why these clubs are worried to have signed such a long term deal. Technology and viewing habits change fast.

Part of their concern is the mass streaming of midweek games. The long contract could be a bit of a problem. I feel with what ifollow has started, we're on the brink of a revolution in how we watch football from home and 5 years does seem like a long time and potentially missing out if things radically change in a short period of time. I don't quite understand why they value the championship so highly though, do many people other than the supporters really want to watch these games?

I'd rather watch EFL games on TV than most of the Premiership tbh

We'll be able to blame everything that goes wrong for the next 15 years on Sky instead of ITV digital

Only if someone with a bit of cash comes in and tells us all if it wasn't for yours truly there wouldn't be a club, then yes
