We are nearly at the end of August and if any player is without a club,

There must be a reason.

The “reason” Pete is that they’ve all earned enough money they don’t need to fall over themselves to get a club and certainly wouldn’t want to sign for a club where they wouldn’t get the back sides wiped on a daily basis.

Yes, Stephen Ireland is definitely the pick of that midfield, just a shame none of his 12 grandmas are from the NE Lincolnshire area.

I think some of them may be slightly beyond our budget

Rangers are trying to sign McAuley

Christ you all wanted him sacked a few months ago. 6th place finish and he's now the messiah and can do no wrong
Update:  I think I've got this right - He was the messiah. He then wasn't. He then was again. Then it turned out he actually wasnt. He turned into one big huge messiah again. Now he's not actually the messiah we thought he was . Now I'm hoping he rises again quickly

Could Jolley talk any of them into coming??

The same Neil Webb who was borderline morbidly obese when he signed for us on loan and was an embarrassment to professional football?

I'll pass if he's the standard thanks!

On a serious note, bound to be some decent free signings made next few days. Am I right in saying that once the window closes this week we can't even unattached players?

Think you can still sign unattached players after the deadline, if they are unattached when the window closes.
