Well, what a turn around for the lads, a great boost of a win today. I don't expect anyone to reply to this topic. I,ve had a full week of moaning from the doom and gloom parade on here, last week was an off day for us, but didn't stop the whingers from throwing in their moans. Its gonna be nothing but praise for the lads this week, and a pleasure to come on here and read all the good vibes. I,ll be there Tuesday and next Saturday on my crutches, cheering them on. Way to go lads, bloody way to go.... UTM.

Like I said last week it's a long season.

Well done to Jolley and team, but again let’s not overreact Mansfield are relegation favourites. Sets us up nicely next week to smash the gimps.

He got it wrong last week 352 and square peg round holes criticism deserved.
He got it bang on today changed us back to a 433 and fully deserves the praise for switching back.
I love the way you say last week was a off day for us but i disagree to a certain extent , the way we set up gave fgr the off day as i would say if we went 433 for them we would have been in that game.
As for your title "doom and gloomers" i suggest the way some not all fans reacted to that defeat was justified as we were all wrong in selection and tactics for that game and why is it wrong to say so on a football forum ? The result suggests not.
We changed it today and we won playing the formation that suits us so i would say to a certain extent the way some cant wait to say told you so after a win playing with the right formation goes to show the way we were set up last week was all wrong and the constructive criticism was justified and it wasnt all about being doom and gloom as you put it.

Just for the record, were we excrement or not last week and are we not allowed to comment as such? Great result today by the way and well done to all those who travelled.

I think Dicko was referring to the suicide watch brigade last week, not the majority of disgruntled fans.

Couple of things to note - albeit from 250 miles away.
1. Jolley obviously realised he'd got it wrong last week and changed things. Slade would never have done that.
2. Three out of the four halves we've played this season we haven't conceded any goals in. Yes we got shafted for four in the other, but if that happens to be the exception to the rule we could be in for some season.

Whereas last week you were squealing like a female dog. Somehow it’s a struggle to take you seriously, perhaps when you grow up and emotionally mature eh?

Sounds like a great result today. As we move on to Lincoln next week (with the cup game Tuesday night too), I think we will set up similar.
Lincoln are effective and trounced Phil Brown's Swindon today so we have to be solid. I'm told that they lump it to Akinde for 60 minutes before unveiling Rhead and lumping it to him for the final 30 so any football that is played, has to be earned.
With that in mind I wouldn't be surprised to see Fox return for Dixon whilsy the rest of the back 4 remain unchanged. Dixon played well apparently but I think Fox brings more of a physical presence which will be needed next week.

Yes, no hoofing there. A lot of empty seats though, I thought the Gimps were selling out every game......

We looked so good at the end of last season in a 4-3-3 formation. I know some of the personal have changed but think this formation suits us. I for one hope we keep playing this way. UTM

Not every game. It's just the Checkatrade that they sold out in.

I hope your not scouting, as Rhead didn't even play Saturday, he never got off the bench, Green was also on the bench too. We didn't play long ball at all, but then we aren't going to with Freck and O'COnnor in the centre of the park, Shackell at the back is a footballer too, and Mcartan and Andrade up front.

To be honest I would be surprised if he played much at all. I think we had a few enquiries, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him go on loan before the end of August.

I was passing on what I was told a week or 2 soaybe it was based on one of your pre-season games. If you are playing football. It should make for a better spectacle than the damp squib early last season. Whether Rhead plays a lot or not as you have alluded to in another post depends on whether or not you can keep Akinde fit I guess.

Possibly though I think Green would get on before Rhead, Green was on the bench Saturday too. I imagine Rhead will play at Vale tomorrow night.
