I would prefer that scenario too but lets face it, he is not going is he? If he is staying, it would be good if he put proper investment in, without wanting it back above and beyond what he already wants.
I would still rather he didn't. It would just reinforce the grip he's got and give him and his fans a greater sense of being in the right. Granted he's not gonna write it off but every time we can reduce it is a step closer to saying adios.

Stevenage have signed goalkeeper Paul Farman from Lincoln City.
The 29 year old goalkeeper has spent the past eight seasons at Sincil Bank, winning player of the year in 2015 and playing a big part in the club’s recent success.

Excellent signing for us, Played in Division 1 for most of the time. Played in League 1 PO final. Was at Scunny on loan last year - 13 games whilst they were in top 3. We actually got him from Millwall.

Excellent signing on paper I think is the phrase as you never know how a player will perform in your colours. Certainly remember Radio Humbersides commentary giving him the thumbs up so could prove a good signing. Let’s hope not eh 😄😄

Dunno why you're getting red-crossed for that post. Actually I do, but probably for some stupid reason like you come from another town with a professional football club fairly close by.

↑ ↑ ↑ Harry Toffolo plays at left-back position and was released by Millwall without playing a game for them. He was at Scunthorpe during the 2016–17 season. Regular for Doncaster with 13 league appearances in League One until injury cut his loan spell short in December 2017. Forest Green Rovers have signed Wales international George Williams on a two-year deal after his release by promoted Championship side Fulham >> https://www.forestgreenroversfc.com/news/first-team-news/2018/fgr-sign-wales-forwardThe 22-year-old attacking midfielder or winger played 17 times for the Cottagers, although he spent much of the past two seasons on loan at MK Dons and St Johnstone. Capped seven times by Wales, he made his international debut against the Netherlands in 2014 and was part of their Euro 2016 squad that reached the semi-final. He's made a total of 53 league appearances, with no goals scored.

Yes I agree , on paper, you never know what is going to happen. We will sign O'Connor next, Notts County Captain. He lives in Lincoln, hopefully he will be good for us too. Was injured last year but they don't want him to leave. I imagine that will allow Whitehouse to go as we only offered him a year - Whereas 2 years to almost all the other ones we want to keep.

Doesn't necessarily speak very well of FGR's new signing, despite his caps, that he's yet to score a League goal when he's considered an attacking midfielder/winger. That said, I don't doubt he'll be on a hefty whack to drop a couple of divisions. Vince obviously splashing the cash once again. Wonder how many managers he'll get through this year?
