Popped in to the message in a bottle shop down Cambridge street. Those of you that like ale, will love it in there. Even has a pop up bar on the shop frontage

Run by a chap off the fishy I believe? PSG? Good to see some town stuff dotted around

Cheers for the kind words Woz.

If you came on Saturday then I wasn't there as was at the Cleethorpes Gin Festival all day / evening. If it was Sunday then we may have met, but I was determined to finish the cask of beer I had bought so it's all a bit blurry!

My Ivano and Kev Donavon stickers on the till often get a mention, just a shame my Harry Haddock deflated.... We often get quite a few Town fans in before and after home games. It's a good place to put the world to rights and dissect the game. NB it's a Slade IN establishment.

PS this is probs non footy!

You need a range of beers that determine the careers of managers. Two bottles but same beer.  Slade in / Slade Out. Sales determine the outcome. Best lower the price of one to fix the result!

(works at Christmas time too)

We have a licence for drinking on the premises on Saturdays and Sundays only.

12-8pm on Saturdays and 12-5pm(ish) on Sundays. We always have 1 ale on tap and then a fridge full of cold beers and ciders as well. Started doing a lot of different gins as well.

The Gin Festival was a sell out so was a success in that respect. It was very busy and I think the wait to be served annoyed a few. Lots of lessons to be learned if it happens again. All in all a long, but fun day. The Rumble Band were absolute class.

Could the next one be held at B.P. Tickets sell out too quickly at Beachholme.

Always a favourite of mine and really enjoying the pop up bar for a proper pre match pint! Pint of fosters for £3.50 or a pint of something local and more interesting for £3, No brainer for me.

Yes, but they have got a license for alcohol as well

I went to the DR's last week.  I said I had a problem.  Whatever I drank, that is what my urine smelled of.  If I drank tea my urine smelled of tea.  If I drank coffee my urine smelled of coffee.
I said to the DR 'How do I make my urine smell like urine? '
He replied  'drink Fosters' !!!

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

We went to the beer festival at the Beachcomber last year, big choice of ales and I sampled the Cleethorpes ale from PSG's stall; very good; and I noticed the event is on again on Saturday. I don't know if he will have a stall again?

Our only complaint was right from 2.00 pm, even though I love all kinds of music, the DJ was blasting music out so loud, you couldn't talk to the person next to you.
