Donny side had some useful players, although they shaded it on the bigger size wise too,  overall they were probably the better of the teams. Visiting keeper had little to do of note with our keeper making a couple of smart saves and crossbar coming to the rescue as well. Played in a decent spirit but with light fading one or two "tackles" started to be mistimed with the ref enforcing subs rather than reaching for the book. Why do you think they got cold feet??? In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions. Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them. GOD
