It's only one week old but judging by the attendances at yesterday's game in Division Two we comfortably took the highest away following. Doubt there'll have been many bigger away following in Division 1 either by the looks of things? Great support, almost double Morecambe's total home attendance yesterday!

No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred of the Tory party. So far as I'm concerned they're lower than vermin. Aneurin Bevan.

Strange, i thought Lincoln had sold out every single stand at Wycombe and also paid for extra seats to be fitted, such was their massive following.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Can't be. We know they sold out 2000 in 40 minutes, they told us. Had hundreds in the home end too, in fact it was mainly Imps due to how quickly they sold out.

Surely with the attendance being 5538 you mean 4331 as the away following? You and your dyslexia!

Lincoln fans hired both Wembley (while Tottenham played) and the Olympic stadium and all chipped in to have the game screened via ifollow on the jumbotrons!

Mix messages coming out on how many we took on Saturday to Wycombe. All I know is the end we were in was full and even if that's 1400 it's still twice as many as you took there for your first away game back in the EFL

To be fair, it's a good following for that distance.  Double what you normally manage to drag to BP.
I'm guessing there were no leafs on the road, etc etc

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Pizzzza I very much doubt it and Civvy we took that amount because of last season and it was our first game back in the football league. Under no illusions, if we do well our support will be up there but if we are average or below it's bound to drop off a bit. That's football supporters for you.

No the message was that you took 550 less than you'd claimed you sold in 40 minutes. Come back and talk to us about away followings if you ever sell out the Osmond.

I would say we will sell out this season Mariner. It's not only that we have been garbage over recent seasons that nobody turns up (although we sold what you gave us the last time we visited, 1200 ) but it's also the fact that you ground and it's facilities are an absolute hole, your police don't want us there anyway, and try as much delay tactics as possible so that we only arrive an hour or so before ko , There are no boozers around the ground and if you do manage to get through you have to go to cleethorpes only to try and dodge those scroats cleethorpes beach patrol. Was talking to a few Wycombe fans on Saturday and they were saying that there was a load of young divs trying to pick a fight with them when you played them last season. Now you want to put a new ground down Peaks Parkway next to a cemetery...!! Says it all really.

I don't know anyone who's decided against going to an away game because of the 'facilities'. How much time to people want to spend in the bog?

Good away attendance for Lincoln to be fair - however lets see how good their home and away attendances are later in the season when a few of the plastics get bored and drop away back to the Premiership!

Not sure about the 'Town' in your user name, but the 'CRYER' seems most appropriate.

Dry yer eyes mate.

Ha ha ha!   Now I've heard it all.

So Lincs Police are well-known for being welcoming. Like insisting that Town fans who live in Lincoln must go back to the station with the rest. Or the welcome that your Lincoln Transvestite Elite, or whatever they're called, seek to provide?! As for facilities. Well you spent 6 years in the Conference, you must be used (like us) to shite grounds - or would be if you bothered going.

Somehow we managed to get past all those 'obstacles' and turn up in numbers.

I'll give you there's no pubs near the ground bar the BP hotel. But Cleethorpes is full of them and only a mile and a half away. And Wycombe is hardly any better placed for pubs! But then, I suspect not many of you lot have bothered going there in the past so wouldn't know that

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

They get an allowance for extra fingers

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Only what, zone 4. I can only think they must have had a limited number of tickets because it's not that bad a journey from East London.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

I bet they took 6,000,000 tonight. Sold all tickets in 10 minutes I heard.

But that might have been miscommunication. According to my book on Lincolnshire dialects 'we sold over 2,000 tickets in 40 minutes' in the mid-Kesteven dialect translates into standard English as, 'I'm over-excited because we sold over 1,000 tickets over several days for an away League match, I must immediately go and troll the Codheads, whoops I've accidentally ejaculated on my school shorts'.

Actually  Gary we took 1700 last night to Rotherham.
Over 3000 to two away games within 4 days is not to shabby.
Wouldn't you agree?

Yeah, we get it, you've had an upsurge in interest after a great season, but we don't want to hear about it ad nauseam. Never heard a peep from you lot for years, now you won't fecking shut up.

I've heard that Mr Fenty is contacting Wembley for our "home" game with the chimps, after listening to town cryer he's thinking it's the only way to accommodate their massive away following.

God I hope we put them back in their place on 30th September. They're getting carried away with themselves and will soon crash back down to earth when the Cowleys depart and a long, hard League 2 season susses them out.

I've wasted my life in black and white, a pathetic act for a worthless cause

It's undeniable that the Cowley brothers have proved themselves at non-league level and also managed to inspire their team to a 'formidable' run in the FA cup in 16-17. However, I don't suppose even they think they can 'walk on water' though some of their fans seem to think they can, apparently. Now they've moved to the next level (and I for one welcome Lincoln's revival as it adds to the rivalry in the area), they have to find a new formula if they are to advance further. Perhaps they can, perhaps they can't, and only time will tell. But all clubs have a nucleus of irritating braggarts who post on other teams' forums and, in the modern era of social media obsession, it's something we less-obsessed just have to endure, I suppose.
