Not sure why Mike White decided to spend so much time about some tackle he made on a Scunthorpe player 10+ years ago and failed to ask him about leaving the club. Decent interview apart from that.

Wonder when his "benefit" game will be?

Very good interview. About 45 minutes allowing for the music in the middle. Fair play to Humberside. And at least that lengthy bit on the Scunny leg-break incident allowed Dis to fully give his side.

I'd never heard of the incident before - one of the benefits of not listening to Humberside I guess, apart from match commentary (when we were in the Conference).

Dis, as ever, comes across as a decent ordinary* bloke. The sort you'd be happy to see married to a member of your family. * I say ordinary - ordinary if you ignore his skill.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.
