Probably one for Les, but what have been the top ten away followings this season? I'm guessing Donny, Derby, orient, Barnet, Notts co, Mansfield, Wycombe, Bolton, Cambridge and Hartlepool? Were they all over 1000?

I think if memory served me right you can add Blackpool and Stevenage to the over 1,000 list.
Our away support is one of the best things about GTFC. .

I wonder if you ranked all teams in England how high up a list of proportion of home fand taken away we'd be.

I think I've worked out that we've averaged 953 away from home in the league this season with 8 games we've taken over 1,000. 4012 Doncaster 2376 Notts Co 1535 Mansfield 1508 Blackpool 1348 Stevenage 1201 Barnet 1149 Cambridge 1086 Leyton Orient
Next season should see 2k at Chesterfield 1800 at Lincoln and 1k minimum at Coventry?

Wow! I know its a question that I can't answer but it would be interesting after next Saturday to calculate our average home gate and see what average percentage we have taken away, well over 20% I would guess. Amongst others considering that Stevenage, Orient and Barnet are 3 hour plus trips then those numbers are impressive for a mid table "4th Division" club. Unless we are in London, Cambridge etc.. I generally go to away games by car which from a cost point of view is doable, I really think those who don't drive and go by train every 2nd week deserve a mention as it must cost them a fukin bomb.

We've averaged 5186 at home and 1025 away which is 19.76% of our home attendance away. Or 18.42% without the cup games.

Operation boycott the final game so we can proclaim our away support is more than 20% of our home crowd.

Does the 5186 include away fans at BP? Because if it does then the more away fans turn up the less it makes our percentage away compared to home attendance look like. I think.

Yes, i've gone off total fans and not just home fans, there is a website that splits it down but I can't remember what it's called.

That's the badger, the last time it was updated was 29 Mar when we had played 19 home games, with a net home attendance of 4824. So I think we are now averaging 4785 at home. Which leave us with 21.42% and 19.96% without cup games.

I'm sure the chap who does all the away figures on onefootballforum will be posting the end of season figures after the last game.
I'll copy them onto here when he does.

Unfortunately, those six fingered, sister sh@gging, pasty eating,Janner fuk pigs will probably bring 1000+ to screw up our figures. But will be silent as we win 1-0 and the Pompey fat knackers go on to win the league.

Is our home support rubbish or our away support incredible? Probably a bit of both but it does make you wonder what a new ground could do for attendances.

Spent more than enough years stationed there. Plymouth itself actually is a great night out. But got into a few scrapes on non match days just for wearing a town pin badge. Don't know why particularly, but got far more grief there than Portsmouth or Scotland. So in footballing terms I hope we do Portsmouth a favour. But would like Donny to screw up as well.
