...................................it's depressingly dull and bleak round the back of the Pontoon.

Which is why folk need a little cheering up.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Every word that comes out from the lizard like mouth of Harvey makes me dislike him even more.

What an utterly absurd success to try and claim.  The whole concept is an absolute failure and should be killed before it does any further damage, Harvey should also be removed from his post on grounds of gross incompetence.

As should any Chairman, Director or Manager that supports this ridiculous format.

Any flag up to 250cm at its widest part is routinely allowed into Wembley Stadium.
But for the Checkatwat Trophy things have changed. Any flag over 100cm has to be cleared by Stewards before being allowed to be displayed.
However, any flag over 100cm (up to 250cm) will be allowed if it is from an official club source !!!!

Sounds to me that someone is a little bit afraid of adverse publicity.
I'll give you a pound to a pinch of sh1t that the sound gets turned right down at the first hint of 70,000 voices singing

'and now you're gonna believe us,
Shaun Harvey is a girl private'

Unbelievable this claim of success. Crowds down to a third of what they were.

% of English young players up? Yes. And it was up last season too.

70,000 at Wembley. Only because it's Coventry (who lets face it are desperate for something to cheer about) and Oxford, a reasonably well supported club just a short distance up the M40 from Wembley. Both are League 1 clubs so would have been eligible to be there in the old format.

Harvey has more front than a Soviet commissar saying the latest 5 year plan for wheat production was a success while 5 million people starve.

If Fenty believes this man, he must have lost all his business acumen.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

I see Shaun Harvey is proclaiming the FL Trophy a success.

Sadly it sounded like Mr Fenty on behalf of GTFC will support the continuation of Under 21/23 teams despite strong opposition from the fans and the Trust.

His stated reasons is that he has a fiduciary duty to back anything that potentially brings more income to the club.Seems he & the rest of the board are hiding behind this when in reality, I think it may well end up costing the club money.

As a sponsor of the club together with season tickets etc I think my spend to GTFC this season is around £5k. A small amount in the great scheme of things I accept, but i feel so strongly about the club ignoring the majority of the fan base wishes that i will withdraw my support next season if they vote to continue with this ridiculous format.

Not saying anyone will follow my lead, I wouldnt expect them to, but this is simply wrong. In the past GYFR has said he is merely the custodian of the club for the fans. Hopefully he will consider that fact very carefully when the Shaun Harvey is looking for support for the continuation of the Checkmate Trophy.

I entirely agree with this post.
My dilemma is that I take my father to the games, so a boycott from me would affect him.
I don't know if I am strong enough to not renew my season ticket.
However, I will delay renewing  to see which way GTFC's representatives vote on this matter and discuss with my father our joint approach.
But I will certainly continue the boycott of the trophy.
The fans view on this seems to be dismissed all too easily and it's shocking!
