Maybe right Ginny and I am sure cheaper prices helped also but thats a bloody good gate on a freezing cold night and despite our tremendous away followings how many times have we had 7000 plus forca home game in recent years? Not too often especially at night match.

That's because it's next to impossible for us to get that at BP without an away following of at least 500 which happens once or twice a season at best. BP's capacity is about 8800 and the Osmond hold at least 1800 of that. The home end would have to be literally 100% full for us to get over 7000 without a big away following and that is unlikely when you consider single seats and seats with very restricted views.

They have appointed a quality manager and despite all the criticism he gets Rheade is a pretty effective target man whose goal return for the Chimps is pretty impressive. They are now well backed financially with all money generated by the cup run available to the manager to strengthen his squad. Pretty much everyone I know who goes regularly says they have changed their style of play completely and its entertaining stuff which is reflected in goals scored.

With Tranmere and Barrow also putting in great runs the conference is proving how tough it is to get out of. But no doubt Chimps could be with us again next year.

Let's hope so, nice pay day for us plus a guarenteed six points over the season

Since our journey into non league I am a big fan of non league football now (for others) and I enjoy the highlights show etc but for me the biggest surprise is York dropping straight to the bottom.I would be very worried if I were a York fan.

Yes I keep my eye on the conference still,

Lincoln are just up the road from me when they play Ipswich,

I could pop up and watch them,

I could but I wont

Be assured absolutely no chance of that but have loads of mates who are regulars and their Manager looks the real deal thats for sure.

Personally would like Tranmere to win the league & if Chimps com eup all well and good for the derby game but for banter purposes them staying in Village football suits me!!!

In other news struggling Newport are losing 1-0 at home to Stevenage tonight, as it stands Town would drop one place.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”
