Chambers is a lot more consistent that Arnold. Seems a steady 7 out of 10 rather than Arnold who would have the occasional blinder interspersed with some pretty anonymous performances. You've got to be pretty happy with how this squad is panning out!

Would take Gregor Robertson over Andrew all day long based on what i have seen to date, Andrew's basic defending is way behind Gregor's and being old fashioned i prefer an unbeatable full back as opposed to one who can attack....or just have Townsend instead who could do both

Arnold always reminded me of Peter Bore in that regard, similar playing style too but they both would turn up for a game where they are all over setting up goals and scoring then the next game you wouldn't know they are on the pitch and they'd be a 1 in 10 games player. I guess if you could add one thing from Arnold to Chambers it's that bit of lethal touch on goal where Chambers seems afraid to shoot sometimes but apart from that I think Chambers has been good he adds pace to the side and gets back to defend as well as attacks so he's good in the counter attack can move the ball forward very quick just needs that quality final ball more often. Think we have a much better squad this season who play in a much more exciting fashion, Having Podge would be nice but I have much more belief in the side we have now having seen every game so far either live at home games or on MP for away games, are there things that could be improved? Sure but there are still plenty of games left to work on that

I think this year's goalie is better. As for Nolan he wasn't with us last year.

Davies/Tait - I think both would do a job in this league. Andrew - Gregor was slow and I suspect the increase in intensity may have found him out. Collins - Toto seems to be a bit calamitous at Hartlepool. Summerfield - a close one but Summerfield is a bit more of a footballer. Arnold - don't think he was as inconsistent as some make out. He worked hard and came up with the goals. Arnold and Vose out wide would cause havoc. Vose - admit Nolan is playing a level higher but Vose is having an impact so it would be hard to remove him. Vose and Nolan in a team together though... Jackson - I think he will come good and the lack of Podge has got people talking about Omar and potentially bringing us some money in!

[quote=120909]What are people's opinions on the changes in the side from last year?
Tait Or Davies = Davis Collins or Toto = Early days for Collins he has not made a mistake so not let the side down, both equal IMO Andrew or Gregor = Andrew just, mainly because of age and fitness Summerfield or Clay = Summerfield Chambers or Arnold = Chambers just pips it through consistancy Vose or Nolan = Vose just because of superior individual skill Podge or Jackson = Podge goals scored says it all Hurst (Last season) Hurst this season = Hurst this season just, due to courage in changing the team and lacking the bitterness of last season

Arnold v Chambers is a tough one although Chambers seems to have a greater work rate Nath scored some terrific goals his last one being the stuff of Grimsby folk law.
