I liked Ridley but we got him when his best days were behind him.

Good luck Lee.

How can Trinity afford his wages? I suspect they'll be contributing a bit, but we're saddled until his contract runs out.

I await a stream of "But Ridley was steady, if rather slow, these two are idiots..." posts. Good move for me, as Ginny said he's past his prime. Good honest pro too.

Still a competent enough defender but his lack of pace was becoming a problem this season due to our general lack of pace at the back and in midfield. With Atkinson and Bore playing in the back 4 last year, he often had players quick enough to cover if he was outpaced by his winger but this year we've not had that.

If he does go, I expect we'll sign Green for the rest of the season?

Yeah, definitely agree with Maringer. I mean, he has been caught out for pace a lot lately but the fact that none of the defenders have been able to cover for him hasn't helped that either. On the whole, he's solid.

Still, Green and Townsend are more ''modern'' left backs and are the sort of players you need in that position now. Wish him luck at Gainsborough.

I see Kenny has returned to Trinity on loan after recovering from his hamstring injury.... Good day all round IMO!

I liked Ridds but his pace this season is just not good enough alongside the likes of Pearson

It will be interesting to see Gainsborough's league form up to Xmas with the players in place, likewise Alfreton Town.

The proof of any of them being missed will be featured in headlines, perhaps or not, depending on form !
