Micky Adams told the official Port Vale website that his squad will "have a roll call" and he may have to look to loan signings after his side sustained two further injuiries on Saturday.

Lee Collins (dead leg) and Doug Loft (knee) have joined the Valiants' injury list, which already includes Marc Richards, Ben Williamson, Gareth Owen, Lewis Haldane, Ryan Burge and Andrew Little.

Adams told the official website: "It looks as though we have picked up another couple of injuries today; Loft has got a bang on his knee, which has swollen up and Collins has got a dead leg.

"We will have to get together tomorrow, have a roll call and see what we have got for Tuesday.

"We can't afford to lose anymore players and depending on the severity of the injuries tonight, we may have to dip into the market on Thursday - if there is somebody out there who can improve us.
"Obviously with the FA Cup, only the players that were registered for the first game can play, so we are looking at Torquay and the games after that.

"We were looking at the January transfer window and really trying to improve the squad then, but if we have to do it sooner rather than later then I will have that discussion with the new Chairman and Chief Executive this week."

Yes mate we have got 8 players out injured, but im sure we will give you a game.

I do think you will win though.

We need signings quickly or we will fall down the League, as the current side is simply not good enough as a few of you saw last week at Vale Park

If you walk 600yds up the road towards Cleethorpes from the Blundell park hotel there's another chippy on your left hand side. Can't remember it's name at the mo.
