It was mixed reviews on here regarding Thompson for Town, and no one seemed too regretful that he went back and the management didn't seem to want to take it further. Unlike someone like Green who has genuinely impressed and wants to be part of things.

My abiding memory of Thompson was not his goal but the fact he seemed to always go to ground in a challenge. Had'nt he ever heard of the adage "stay on your feet son"?

He played 3 games IIRC as I remember one of Darlo's goals was down to him doing what BC stated above.
