An asteroid as big as a battleship past us last night,

It was nearer than the moon,

If it hit us ,it would have been like 1,000 nuclear bombs going off,

THOUGHT ?

If it was going to hit us,  WOULD THE GOVERMENTS HAVE TOLD US ?

My thoughts are, if they told us beforehand a lot of people would go on a rape and pillage riot for the last few hours,

So they would say, it will be a near miss, look at all the pretty colours in the sky,

Then

Inform the few people that survived, sorry it got a bit closer than we thought.

Cameron and Gideon & co would. Cleggy would be wandering a deserted Parliament, wearing his "We're all in it together" t-shirt, looking bewildered.

Did one pass near Tottenham in August?

Mr McGee, don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

Reminds me of the old 'Protect and Survive' nuclear attack films.

1. Take the doors off their hinges and place against the wall at a 45 degree angle to form a shelter.

Great. The hinges on my doors have ten layers of paint on them. It would take forty minutes to get them off. I've got four.

2. Surround the doors with cushions.

Oh yeah. She loves her cushions, she's not going to let me put them on the OUTSIDE of the shelter, oh no. They're going in with us apparently.

3. Paint your windows with white paint to reflect the heat from the explosion.

Right, so either it's a drive to B&Q or down to the shed to spend half an hour trying to force off the paint encrusted lids from several tins of nearly empty white emulsion.

4. Switch off the gas.

Yeah, right. As if a gas pipe is going to make much difference to the destruction from the Soviet nuclear arsenal.

5. Adjust position on cloud and learn to play harp.

Wait patiently in queue at the Pearly Gates. There are 5 billion of you and processing will take time but you will get there eventually.

Mr McGee, don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.
