The good old leagues, the year Town finished 5th on the same points as Man City   in the playoff spot for what now is the Premiership, too bad playoffs didn't exist back then.

Was just looking through a few old programs and well thought I would bring this up.

Didn't we beat Man City 4-1 at BP that season ?

Sticks in my mind, think I was there and seem to remember we played them off the park.

Certainly did.

I remember the Man City fans singing "What the f**k is going on?". Quite amusing back then.

I've got this game on dvd. That season was the 1-1 drawn game which was shown on Match of the Day with the other game being Blackpool v York, Dave Moore scoring a belter for Blackpool.

1984 was nothing. We were at our peak when Hitler invaded Poland. It's been downhill ever since. Worst thing to happen to Town was WW2, worse than the collapse of ITV Digital even

I've been looking for a youtube clip of that but cannot find it, I remember they was on a long unbeaten run and Jib Dobbin sealed a memorable victory.
