Gainsborough Trinity are after an emergency keeper on loan due to injuries to Phil Barnes and Andy Pettinger, apparently according to some of there fans there is talk of a move for Kenny Arthur ???

Could he?

2nd choice at a bottom half conference club doesnt open that many doors!

He has actually signed now

To be honest, Trinity have a sugar daddy owner, a team of professional's and are looking to move to a new stadium, with the ambition of becoming a Football League club, they're certainly going places..but in a way I kind of agree with the tin pot phrase, but im affraid isn't League Two full of them nowadays whilst the likes of us, Lincoln, Mansfield and other biggish ex clubs dordle in the Conference. As mentioned by Big Chris he is second choice here, so it wouldn't be to much of a massive drop down from us to the team who are 3rd in the League below.

Trinity going great guns this season. 3rd in the BSN, 100% record at home and a thumping 6-1 away win in their last away league game.

They could well be coming up next season. Steve Housham has done more in his first few months in charge than Brian Little did in his 2 years there.

Agree with you there Les, having previously lived in Gainsborough for a few years I still look out for them, and I think finally they seem to be going places, they've had a lot of big name ex Football League players in there in recent years but feel they were dependant on these guys who had arguably peaked in there career's. It seems now they have the combination of home grown youth and ex FL experience, would be interesting if they came up and Lincoln were to go down.

Any bets on how many games he plays before he comes back injured?

Not so sure about that signed a few players in the summer Darryn Stamp back Beverley hes localish, Kevin Sandwith, a few from Sheffield, Donny and Micheal Leary of course who warms the bench a bit. I think the new manager has got them more focused abd both Barnes and Pettinger before injury were having a great season

I'm in the same boat gainsboro mariner - my dad still goes week and week out and has done since the early 60's.

stevie is doing a great job. When asked about if he would ever want the Town job he said he wouldn't turn down an opportunity like that!
