Hurst said:

"We remain positive. And it might not seem like that initially and at times things that people hear but I can assure you we're confident in what we're doing."

Said he'll be contemplating changes but playing what he considers to be the strongest team.

"Whilst we expect to win the game, we won't be going into it over-confident and we'll be giving Ashington the respect they deserve."
"Fitness levels should play a part during the game."

Describing Connor Townsend:

"Athletic, gets up and down the pitch well, he's enthusiastic. We just felt that that's something we've brought Jamie Green in he's been missing through injury, and even though we've got players who can play in that position, we just feel he gives us a bit more athleticism."
"If he wasn't available for the FACup we probably wouldn't have done it."
"Competitive, loves to get forward, good quality on the ball."
"Crossing ability looks very good."

How I wish I'd paid into the system and could hear such words of wisdom every day or so!

Didn't they used to do player interviews on MP? Wonder why they don't any more?

Don't want to be negative, but slightly bit concerned Hurst says fitness levels should play a part.

Course he's right but any advantage will come later in the game so I hope it's not the basis of any "gameplan" we might have.

I pray we don't show too much respect by starting over-patient, slow and end up with another Bath City on our hands.
Worse case scenario could be we're losing 1-0, they're knackered but eveyone is behind the ball defending and we can't break them down.

Let's try to dominate Ashington from the first whistle and give them as little encouragement as possible.
Not saying we shouldn't be patient but an early goal would obviously be nice. (preferably 2 of them)

Game plan is for a last minute winner then ?

Was thinking more along the lines of "be patient the goals will come"
