Remember when we played Cambridge, they got a man sent off early and went mega-defensive ?
We were patient, taking our time passing it around with Artus pulling the strings and spreading the play in midfield.

Do you think we'll pass, control and do a similar thing against Ashington or will it be an open FACup rough and tumble encounter ?
Will Ashington attack and compete in midfield or defend and try to park the bus in front of goal ?

Years ago Bath came to play but they were a decent passing side.
What about this lot ?
I think they might be up for an open game like Bath were but I'm only guessing.
Thoughts ?

Poll - as many as you like...

I'd like to see us really go for it from the first whistle, get the early goal, and press it home for a convincing win.

I fear the ground will be empty, no atmosphere, town huffing and puffing trying to get going, ashington nick a goal and hold out for another new all time low

If Newport win it b4 heir vist to BP, I will sit in The Osmond dressed as Little Bo-Peep for the match against them!

i , like many others, aqre slightly worried about this. i dont know why. i was the same against chasetown last season and bath the season before. so with that in mind. am considering £30 on ashington to win, with a goal head start!!!! odds are 4/1. its an awful thought but................................................................

I'm trying to think of 1 good reason why that should not be our plan on the day.
Surely it has to be ?
