just been on ashington's website and they are telling there fans it is the normal ticket price ? is this right ?

if it is then thats a disgrace, i would guess there will be a good amount of ashington fans making the journey and making them full price in the fa cup qualifier is embarrassing

As it is FA Cup BOTH sides would have to agree to any variance on normal match day prices. As we have seen in the past it is possible that Ashington want to make as much money as possible and my guess is that they will get more by keeping prices high.

The GTFC following will be small anyway and even at £10 many will still not go

Any reduction in ticket prices has to be agree by both clubs AND sanctioned by the FA with it being an FA Competition.

IIRC we offered to reduce ticket prices for the Bath City FA Cup tie 2 seasons ago but Bath wouldn't agree to it as they saw it as a big pay day for them at the time. Maybe we have made the same offer to Ashington and they have taken a similar stance to Bath.

I would imagine this wont be the case as I have heard us at Ashington will keep our prices to a minimum of £6 and £1.50 (kids / oaps) IF there is a replay on the Tuesday night.

I personally think Grimsby should have reduced their tickets to get more fans in as I would imagine the price is probably putting those home fans off that are unhappy at the moment.

There will only be 1,600 at the game at the most,

Even if we reduced the price, I can not see more than 2,000 attending.
