Did I hear tonight that Green is finished as a player at GT, and will only be considered again if he can prove his fitness

Rob Scott said on Mariners Player that he's been sent away and will get a chance to come back when he's fit.

Damn. That means agent Ridley is a shoe in for tomorrow. Who is Luton's right winger?

Hmmm. A but like a shortest midget contest. Brad, as much as I like him as a player, isn't a left back. Right back, sure, but not left. Ridley had my support but no more. His lack of pace and also seemingly form are a real concern and even a quarter fit Green would be ahead of him in my team!

I think you've summed it up rather well. I haven't seen Ridley recently - my only hope is that people are exaggerrating how bad he is or he can bounce back. We all know he's always been slow.

My choice for left back is in the following order.
1) Tea lady
2) Kit man
3) Woods
4) Ridley ( only if the first three report sick)

I really hope i'm wrong but the word 'smokescreen' keeps returning to my head - here we have a player signed only on a short term agreement due to injury, who was almost universally praised by GTFC fans as offering a new dimension for our present 'team' as a fullback , develops a mysterious 'injury' and further 'fitness doubts' only after the return to the squad of the player he was signed to cover, call me cynical if you like, but perhaps financial considerations might just be involved here? Usual lack of transparancy from GTFC i'm afraid - just be honest please.

Robbia Willmott.... A very good player who we were linked with last year whilst at Cambridge.... Very pacey has a few tricks up his sleeve and is their second highest goalscorer this season! Ridley's copulated!!!!!

Could Artus do a temporary job dropping back on the left flank?
His OPTA player rating had him as a full back as well as a midfielder?

Looks like it. If he gets fit though why would he come back here? Bet you he doesn't. Gutted about this.

Why does it look like it ? As far as I can see nothing has changed except he's left cos he needs "complete rest"
UTS you probably got it right before after watching MP - I don't see why you've now changed your mind. He might come back he might not but it's down to him and the club.

Wouldnt be surprised if he turns up at another club within the next few days, all fit and ready to go, and then he will probably tell us how it is/was etc.

He has probably said he cannot wait forever, needs to play and needs to earn some money so has been told he is free to rest or go somewhere else but if he does not get fixed up he can come back if "the situation" at Town changes.

Just because his leaving didn't really seem to fit in with the picture. I thought he was waiting/had agreed to wait till the FA cup game - obviously that's not right cos he's now gone! I dunno whether he'll be back, but he is a great addition to the side imo so if I don't expect him to come back I won't feel so disappointed when/if he doesn't, if that makes sense.

No agreements to do with the FACup. Maybe that was just me saying the 2 weeks rest co-incides with us playing in the cup. What him leaving means to the merits of the conspiracy theory I'm not sure - absolutely nothing is my guess. As you know, Scott said if he gets fits they'll take a look at him in training and decide on contractual things from there.

Probably the best way to look at it. I'll be gutted if he doesn't join but I suppose ranting about it won't change anything.

We can't waste money, but surely it's not too hard to have given out news on his ongoing injury as open knowledge, instead of all these conspiracy theories coming out.
If he has something that's going to be long term, then he doesn't get a contract - shame, looked really good and added something to that left back role, but maybe that's why no one took a chance on him pre season.
