It's probably a good thing you missed the commentary, it really REALLY was abysmal. I'm one of the lucky ones, I'm already home. I reckon there'll be some harsh words posted on here later tonight when the rest of our support make it back to Grimsby!

We finally get a few race horses and stallions in midfield and up front but there never at the races thanks to the donkeys at the back.

After what I saw tonight Gaz, they'd probably be more useful as a pot of glue, at least they'd 'start to gel'............. Sorry!! I'm in a FOUL mood! I just hope that someone that went tonight can post something positive on here later. I'm struggling, really struggling to think of anything.

This was a game of 2 parts,

PART 1.  we scored in the 1st minute and looked good,

PART 2.  for the other 89 minutes we were crap,

Two poor mistakes by Macca for the 2nd and 3 goals, he should really be rested now before he loses all his confidence,

Arthur must be in for fridays game against Luton ,

We have gone backwards, we do not have a clue, BRING BACK WOODS !!!!!!!!!  


So once again, we have been beaten by part timers,

I must add , it was a very friendly club and fans, well done Ebbsfleet, see you next season,

If we do not get relegated.

we just switched off, kept hitting it long and high to nobody and played a lot of bad head tennis

Answer to your first question: We all jumped around and celebrated, a guy with a horn blew his horn, two minutes later we took the mickey out of their striker who put a header straight over the bar........... Could've/should've been 1-1. I personally toyed with the idea of getting another cup of tea.

Answer to your second question: No. If anything we let them attack us. Usually against our left side, predominately putting balls on the deck across goal. This eventually paid off for their second.

Answer to your third question: We lost 3-1 as a result of poor defending and not having the ability to put the ball forward via passing it on the deck or by getting it over to an unmarked man in front of goal. When the ball came to a Town player with time to shoot (usually Coulson) they didn't and chose to lay it off to either Hearn or Elding (later Duffy) who were marked by two defenders instead. Our defenders seemed to be totally unaware of if they had enough time to control the ball and play it to feet (as they have done for God knows how long) so they'd either just punt it forward or put it out into touch. Our set pieces were woeful, particularly from corners. If my memory serves me right, their third came from a counter from one of our corners.
