I can't imagine he'll be much more than a bench warmer for anyone.

This signing for Luton just baffles me. He can't seem to settle for any club of late and his goal-scoring record is bad!

He came on for Kiddie a couple of weeks back on the TV game. Did nothing, now he's on his way again. Only 27 !

Yes, baffling.

They obviously want a target man who can hold up play and get in some good headers

WHS.

Despiet being junk at his last few clubs he has gone up several rungs on the non league ladder.

One of Town's worst ever signings.

It's difficult to decide how to view this.

On the one hand, you have the curse of the ex as our former players always seem to score against us. On the other hand, we know that Wright is utterly useless so should this signing be viewed a positive for us or not?

Looks like things are not so rosey in lutons garden having to sign a player with his poor record in recent years.

Have they got injury problems? Just hoping they've signed him to plug a gap as first choice strikers will be unavailable for Friday.

Using the same logic, news of them signing Peter Till would be most welcome.

Gary Brabin says:

"Tommy's a physical, goalscoring forward, the kind of player we've been after."

Here's some feedback on Tommy Wright from Keith a Luton fan who has been corresponding with me:

Clumsy, belligerent. Spent more time moaning than actually playing. Can’t see that he is going to add anything to us. Thank god we only have him on a three-month contract. (This evaluation is after only 23 minutes of play. More than enough to classify him as rubbish.)

Not a good result at Ebbsfleet. I prefer going ahead after 89 minutes to 1 minute. You don’t have to hang on for so long!

On our showing tonight you will have three easy points on Friday. We were awful. No ideas and playing Brabin’s beloved 4-5-1 formation – at home!!!
