I don't know who they are so hopefully we'll smash them 6-0. Although this would require us to have learnt our lessons from the Chasetown / Bath City debacles

They like us play in black + white stripes,

If we do not take them for granted,

We should win and hopefully go on a cup run and draw a prem side in R3.

On paper it's probably about the easiest draw we could get but it will be their "cup final" I'm sure.

It also seem they too have a Jamie Clarke playing for them. He scored an injury time equaliser against Vauxhall Motors in their 3-3 home draw in the 2nd Qualifying Round.

It also seem they too have a Jamie Clarke playing for them. He scored an injury time equaliser against Vauxhall Motors in their 3-3 home draw in the 2nd Qualifying Round.

A Jamie Clarke, or The Jamie Clarke?

I think it's A Jamie Clarke as I think THE Jamie Clarke is at Guisley who Ashington beat on Saturday.

If we win there will be a open top bus parade in the town centre.

At least if it rains we're used to having no roof above our heads with these BSP grounds

It was actually A Jamie Clarke that scored the winner against Guisely on Saturday in a game that THE Jamie Clarke didn't play in, so maybe A Jamie Clarke is THE Jamie Clarke who is on loan at Ashington from Guisley.

But they I doubt Guisely would have let THE Jamie Clarke play against them so I reckon it is just A Jamie Clarke.

They beat us 1-0 but we did get our own back in the return match when we hammered them 6-1 at BP the following week.

Greetings from Northumberland. I'm delighted with this draw - huge day out for us. If we didn't believe we could win we shouldn't come. Blyth Spartans had a great run a couple of years ago. We hope to emulate them.

Greetings Collier.Northumberland is one of my favourite counties.Lovely place.

In the past couple of seasons,we have hit all time lows in losing at home to Bath, when we were in lg2 and they were in the BSS.We then lost to Chasetown,so we have a history of losing to teams we should beat.

You have a chance.

Played up there for GY College a long time ago, very cold, very wet and very bleak. Bloody long way in a mini bus too. It is a proper football place though, as well as the Charltons, didn't Jackie Milburn come from there?

Jackie Milburn was the uncle of the Charlton's on their mother's side.

Just been looking at the results. According to the F.A. there is no such thing as a "Penalty Shoot-out". The matches were decided by a series of "Kicks from the penalty mark". Mr Cholmondely-Walker is alive and well and living at F.A. H.Q

I would hope 300+ we're well supported for a club at our level & usually take around 100+ to a really big game
This for us is a massive game. There is some speculation that we could take a lot more - I hope so

Better than most the clubs in our division

Played up there for GY College a long time ago, very cold, very wet and very bleak. Bloody long way in a mini bus too. It is a proper football place though, as well as the Charltons, didn't Jackie Milburn come from there?

Yes there's a statue of him in town. England fast bowler Steve Harmison comes from Ashington too!

Blimey, you've got quite a sporting tradition! Bet you don't have any semi-famous snooker playres though?
