Hi.

Charlton fan here.

Super Clive is a legend at Charlton and from what I've read on your forum he's regarded in much the same light by you guys.

A friend of mine is trying to get Super Clive recognised in the 'Who is the greatest' hall of fame.

It would be great if you could take a minute to cast a vote for Super Clive.  Click on this link to vote

Many happy memories of Super Clive. The best one was very early in his Grimsby Town career when we won 2-1 at Plymouth on a rainy Tuesday evening, Clive scored that night and the 100 or so Town fans were doing a conga on the away end in the pouring rain. An opening day hat-trick against Bolton and another hat-trick in his first game back after a long injury lay-off againt Ipswich are a couple of others that stick in the mind. Definetly one of the best strikers ever to don the famous black and white stripes.

Very happy memories of that play-off weekend too as we beat Northampton to win promotion to what is now The Championship the day before watching Clive bang in those 4 goals (inc pen) for Charlton.

Super Clive is a GTFC legend and one of the few players to have been in tears as he left the club.  An outstanding player who deserved a longer career.

Supporting the Mighty Mariners for over 30 years, home town club is were the heart and soul is and it's great to be a part of it.

Jesus’ disciple Peter, picked up a fish to get the tribute money from it, Jesus left his thumb print on the fish, bless'ed is the Haddock.

I've got many memories of Super Clive.  Our Wembley game was a bit of a blur, so much tension.

I particularly remember him scoring a winner for you guys at the Valley a couple of seasons before we stole him from you.

He scored a memorable hat-trick for us in our first home game in the Premiership against a Southampton side that included Beattie and Le Tissier.  That night, although it was only after two games, Charlton were top of the Premiership and Mendonca was a God.
