Difficult one this. town need to improve goals scored away column, currently worst in the league. Is this the game when this happens?  mmm difficult one. I think a 2-2 draw would be ok

If Hearn has properly found his feet then I think there's much room for optmism which I wouldn't have felt 2 games ago.
Defend well and there's no reason we can't beat them comfortably.

3-1 town.

Certainly a strange one. 2 (1 of those an og) in 6 games is certainly piss poor.

But with the way we're creating chances at home, I see no reason why we can't change our form away so:

It certainly won't be a 7 - 2 rout like last season, Mansfield will want revenge and are in good league form so far.

This game will be a really big test for the way that Town are going forward - a tight defence is essential, and we will hope to come good 2nd half, as we seem to start very poorly this year!

Duffy and Silk (if fit and good to smile !) to have great games against former employees! Green to return at left back as well!

Still think Town can take it!  Holding to my 2-1 prediction.

Just a note on our ahem...cough 'stewards'. We dislike them as much as anyone. At home to Kiddy a couple of weeks back 4 of em gave a 17 year old lad a going over in our singing block for.......swapping seats. They are the most confrontational bunch of bullies I have ever known. They are there for safety but seem to want to antagonize everyone.

to be fair i think the stewards reputation at mansfield is pretty much well known to most and most town fans who make the trip will be well aware of this and a few would have probably had or seen evidence with their thugish behaviour before!

This should be a cracker. If I could be at any ground on Saturday it would be Field Mill. I've just had my weekly dose of Stags Talk from The Mansfield Chad. Interesting comments about the four ex-Mansfield players now with Grimsby.  I think a draw would be a very good result for Grimsby. I've been impressed by Paul Cox and rank him up there with H&S as the best manager(s) in The BSP.

Our record against top half teams continues. All very well hammering the relegation fodder like Alfreton but we are still losing every game against decent teams.
