Quoted from voice of reason

Come up with all the excuses we like, the fact remains we are not good enough...

Sounds like we've put in a decent performance but been beat by the better standard of the Wrexham side . They've broke at pace and been clinical with their chances when we havnt . Hearn needs someone up front with him who offers more to the team than elding . No surprise he's basically failed , think we all knew it , as with Spencer who will never cut it when he's eventually fit .
The problem is without injection of cash soon the season will be another mid table finish and unless the board room business isn't sorted soon there's no hope of that happening

It's been a good performance in one way - we are so much better than say six games ago.

But George Kerr is right when he says man for man the Town players are not as good as the Wrexham ones.

You can moan at the ref but we have not been good enough however much effort the lads have put in.

I said yesterday unless we get 20 points from the next ten games including today we are unlikely to get near the play offs. I stand by that - we are a mid-table Conference side in terms of performance. No more, and no prospect of more.

Braintree are 4-0 up away. They are getting results on a budget much smaller than ours and are rightly in the top six. We are losing millions and getting nowhere.

That about sums it up

It just sounds were missing that consistent striker were battling well, creating chances need to defend better.  Get rid of Elding and Spencer and get some in on loan

I'd welcome Peter ridsdale with open arms right now . Were losing millions and going nowhere so it why not give him a go I reckon . Couldnt see him being interested in coming here which is even more depressing !!

About sums it up.They had more quality than us and knocked the ball around in midfield far more effectively than we did.Plenty of effort from us and some bits of skill but player for player, they were just better and slowly ground us down after we really took the game to them for 15 mins at the start of the second half.We didn't get that all important second and they were clinical with their chances.

Reminded me a bit of when Barcelona slowly ground down Man U in the Champs league final. A bit of an over the top analogy but you get my drift.Eventually their better footy started to create openings and they took them very well.Their second and third goals were very well worked and the third got a bit of applause from the Pontoon.
