John used to have a ball. We all knew it was his, because he regularly used to sulk off and take it home with him. One playtime, whether or not John fully understood it, a pocket money + sweets transaction took place which basically saw Mike talk John into giving him his ball.

They all continued to play happilly for a while, but one day, John and his friends wanted to play heads'n'volleys, whilst Mike decided Wembley singles would be best, so had a bit of a tantrum and stormed off home, leaving his ball behind for the others to continue playing with. Most of the bigger boys blamed Peter for argument, many saying he was too old to be still playing with the others, so now he's just forced to watch from the climbing frame.

However, John obviously felt a bit concerned, because the leather on the ball has started to crack, and didn't want to spend his pocket money on getting it repaired when Mike could come and grab it back at any moment. So John rang Mike's mum and asked if was coming back out to play, only to be told that he was still a bit upset and still wouldn't even consider playing again unless John gave over his chair (next to the fit looking girl in the Maths class), which John didn't like the idea of.

The next day, John asked Mike that as it was still his ball, did he still want to help pay for the leather to be repaired. Mike said "get stuffed!". So John, all upset again, left the ball in the playground, and walked away, leaving the wind and rain to slowly wear the outer leather away.

So where does that leave everyone? Well, Mike's currently telling all the teachers on John, whilst John is just writing message about Mike on the bike-shed wall. John wants all of the DVDs he lent Mike back, whist Mike is looking for other friends to play with... hopefully before the ball is well and truly knackered beyond economical repair.

To be continued...

Somebody email this to JF and MP. Perhaps they'll realise it's not far from the truth and how preposterous this situation has become.

That has been a great lunch time read.

I thought I had seen the end of the world. Desolation, Isolation, Destruction, Mutants and the end of Civilisation.
Turns out bloody Tom Tom had directed me through Scunthorpe City Centre.
