I thought exactly the same - I assume that if there was a real medical emergency qualified medics are available?

i dont think so, they are the first line of medics. i was also wondering why they wasnt in their uniforms?

Are they not just pall stretcher bearers? Proper East Midlands (don't know how that works on the coast?) Ambulance staff were on hand.
