It's obvious that this game had a bigger effect on people's judgement of the team and the lingering effect was there for all to see at yesterday's game. The 'your not fit to wear the shirt' was justified in the context of that one match but the trouble is 8 seasons of decline come with it. That's hardly the fault of these managers or players for that matter. I thought yesterday we were bright and inventive going forward and whilst it was true that 4-3-3 gave them space on our right we carved out enough chances to go in well ahead at the break with better finishing and a less competent away keeper. If certain individuals had done there job properly the goals could have and should have been prevented. I agree we do a more clinical attitude in both boxes. There was always a atmosphere bubbling under yesterday for a few fans waiting to have a go at anything and anybody which in the context of this game, and with quite a few bright performances on show, was a real shame. Forget history back the team and give the managers a chance to develop this team I say for what it is worth.
