It's simple really. We played 'lopsided' without a right midfield against Cambridge, Hurst said in preview that they would play the same against Darlington, Darlington made four changes to exploit it and contain Makofo, We kept the formation far too long without changing it, so we lost and Darlington won. So who do you blame for that!

So who's turn is it this time to tell Gateshead out tactics before Monday?


If the football is bad you can always watch the gulls.

If anyone is too blame it's their keeper for playing out of his skin, previous results haven't been great but yesterday is a game we should have won, we used to do it regularly against teams, keep the faith.

the lopsided formation definitely cost us. Both goals came down that side. Fairenough starting with it after it worked the other night (albeit against ten men) but not changing it after 10 mins when it was clearly not working and then still not changing it after the first goal was criminal.

I look at yesterdays match and say Jay & Silent Bob should have noticed that they was using the width of the pitch and that playing just 3 in the middle was going to give them chances (hence their 2 goals) BUT having said that we had a fair amount of chances in the first half ourselves before we changed formation but did not take them for various reasons, goalkeeping, bad finishing (especially duffys header from about 3 yards out)
Trying to point the finger at just one thing yesterday is impossible.
