Whilst i do actually see why he went over, surely he understood that after watching another home defeat and tactical ineptness at times fans would be frustrated and to actually have a balanced conversation would have been hard for them to have, similar to him. If he wants that sort of relationship with the fans then why not have an open fans forum...interesting that he did similar things at Boston and alienated many of their fans...

Nothing is won in august but things can be lost. Sacking them isn't te answer, in fact sacking managers has been one of the reasons we are in this mess but something has to give...

What a load of twaddle. So many of their fans were alienated and hated the success they had under SandH that they had their highest gates since they were in the FL by some margin.

No, completely relevant. You've linked to half of the incident, as a poster said and I'm led to believe, Scott was talking quite reasonably to the fans.

is this a new thing new we are doing at gtfc talking directly to the fans after the game,i allways thought that what radio dull was for simply shouldnt have got drawn into the situation

Again, I agree but....what if Scott had just spoken to those who signalled him over, explained things, apologised, took their criticism on board etc....wouldn't that have been reported as a refreshing change for a manager ? That's what he seemed to have in mind....backfired spectacularly and probably wishes he hadn't bothered now. Hopefully won't do it again

That's great... First you tell him to shut up, then have the good grace to allow him an opinion but tell him to stay away with it... After all that, you then tell him if his opinion isn't 'nice' the he shouldn't say anything, then go back to allowing him an opinion, as long as it's constructive...

I fear by constructive you mean - as long as it fits with your 'every thing is rosy at the club views'...???

Do you REALLY think that any self respecting Town fan thinks "everything is rosy at the club"?

I'd wager no-one is happy but it's what you want to do about it where we would have to differ. For me the choice is simple. We either:

Get rid of the current managers FIVE games in and start all over again AGAIN
or we
Get behind them and the players and do what the dictionary definition of support is...

The aim of argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.

Clearly he's fed up of all the moaning and I don't blame him sometimes the fans need telling that way because explaining things professionally wouldn't make any difference to those fans.  Look at it from his point of view yes he's signed the players and there still finding their feet something I'm sure he didn't anticipate so maybe he's just as fed up as the fans.

My theory with people who are being very negative (and unjustly IMO) is that is does no good to anyone - you, the team or others. So, my intention was to say to keep it to yourselves, and don't spread your bad feeling to others. Sorry, it's the Buddhist in me.

Yeah I know a couple of Boston players and living where I do quite a few of my friends are Boston fans. He pi$sed them off sometimes but to suggest "many" fans were "alienated" is absolute rubbish.
