I keep getting threads highlighted to say there are new posts but when I click on them there aren't any posts I haven't already read.
It's only started happening recently, but getting on my nerves now.
Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem, dunno if it's an issue with the site or it's just me?

It's not just on polls btw!

Polls have been altered so it only rises to the top if a comment is made, not just a vote. Let Rob know the specifics of what the issue is and with which thread and he'll have a look. (He's on holiday at the moment though so don't expect it too readily!)

You're not getting unread posts because you're changing user names are you.......?

Yeah i get the same sometimes. it says that there is a new post and says who and when was the last post but when opening it, there is no sign of it. I thought it was a case of the previous post being deleted but im sure Rob and Biccys can enlighten us lol

It could be deleted posts, but I think when one's removed, the post is removed but the posters name still remains as the last poster if that makes sense?

lol, no I honestly can't be bothered with all that, one name and ID's enough for me!

Hmm, wonder if that's it, but don't know why it's happening so much now when it hasn't been before?
I'll look at the name of the last poster next time and if the last post sn't by them I'll know that's what it is.

this happens to me a lot on my phone. I have to clear the cache then all returns to normal. Probably my phone Rob not the site, but doesn't happen anywhere else.

Yer it happens to me but I realized it was when someone delete the newest post. I deleted a post on twit of the week yesterday, did any of you have that problem with totw yesterday ?

Actually I think I did. Still seems strange though how it's only been recently, as if people have only jsut started deleting posts!

I think I've solved the mystery (for me anyway)!

Just looked in the 'I'm Winning' thread as there was a new post, but I was the last one who posted on that so thought it'd happend again.
Then I saw this at the bottom of the page:
