What's the point....................

Whenever I get a negative, I just give one back 'mammary for tat style' defeats the object really.

Never given anyone a plus, even though I've been handed a few.

Thoughts anyone?

Agreed, 2 of my 3 negatives have come because I gave them a negative, not because I post crap (although some may argue that I do)

plus certain individuals give others + in hope they get one back. Never payed any attention to them myself

I got two negatives because I handed out two negatives.

It made me really sad and I regretted not enjoying what they had posted.

I give a positive not to recieve one back,usually if i enjoy what the poster has put they get one off me,i am a giving person  

I give positives to the posters I've enjoyed talking to. I've given plenty that I didn't get back but honestly don't care at all.
I don't just give a negative cos someone did it to me, but I'll do it if they give me a negative without having spoken to me to maybe give a hint of hwy they did it. I just find that really rude.

I've given a few people two or three '+'s too , why not?

I would prefer the like / dislike option you get on youtube, also that would go someway to nominate the 'Icey' post of the week  

It should be that if you get -15 or -20 then your account get's disabled, that way we can get rid of the trolls who drag down this site.

I seldom raise or lower anybody's reputation and I've only given bad rep once and that was to ONE user that gave me bad rep.... TWICE?? The same user gave me my second negative rep because he used another log in, which I thought was a bit pathetic, especially after that user had posted a grovelling heartfelt apology wanting to be accepted back into The Fishy community a week before on his previous log in. Anyway, I like to raise somebody's reputation if that person has posted a cracking post and by that I mean a post that I personally strongly agree with. I've also given good rep to people that appear to be courteous and just seem to have a genuine passion for Town. I also give positive rep if somebody has helped me out when I've asked a question on a subject that I'm particularly interested in and in turn, people have kindly taken the time to respond to. Being a reasonably polite bloke, I think that's the least I can do. There are many people that use this forum that have always been forthright in their views and don't easily back down on an argument regardless of what others think, that's what a forum is all about, that's the way it should be. These people don't feel the need to use multiple log in's and this is beacause these people have the balderdash to speak their minds and face the consequences if others disagree with them, these same people are also capable of holding their hands up and saying sorry/my mistake if they're proved wrong. Unfortunately the fact remains that you do get the odd one or three pillocks on here that need to grow some balderdash, these pillocks dent genuine people's reputation by giving them multiple bad rep's under multiple log in's. That said, the genuine people that use this board usually suss out the multiple log in anyway and somewhere along the line make the multiple log in user look the total buffoon that they actually are.

I think the rep thing should stay! Rant over. Bring on the next season.
