It's not my dad's part of the World but there is an International trade fair, Lech beer is brewed in the region, it's a bit of a business/industria area, You'd be better going to Gdansk/Gydina for the seaside or Zakopane in the south, anyway enjoy your visit and I guarantee the Poles will welcome you.
