whole fee been given to the managers to replace connell and more. Sco-hurst already have a couple of players in there sights though i don't know any names. In other news the gaffers have swapped dugouts on a permanent basis and the touchlines have been brought in by 4ft on either side

The pitch has been moved in exactly emphasis on exactly one yard each side. Look at the corner flag markings, the new markings start where the older ones ended. The corner markings are 3ft from apex to front of white line!

And I understand it is to allow the pitch to recover from the linesmans tracks from last year. And so expect it to revert back by August 13th.

I hope so, as Coulson seemed to run out of room on a couple of ocasions this afternoon.

I remember being pelted with ice by the Norwich fans during the Milk Cup match, do you?

Depends on what formation we are going to go with, 4-4-2 and I'd agree with you, but if 4-3-3 is the prefered formation a narrower pitch will be better.

Good, usually squeezing everything up means interesting, exciting, & entertaining ( not ) bash it up the middle football. I don't really understand this theory as they have had the whole of the closed season to work on pitch repairs.

It was already altered when we played that charity match there at the beginning of May.

Couldnt' give a monkeys toss if the pitch was reduced to the absolute minimum if it gets us back in the FL - lets get back there and then consider the pitch dimensions FFS.

Yes, I was wondering about the reason for that, too.

Makes me laugh how we've had so many threads with different titles and they've all reverted back to the topic of Alan Connell.  Now we've got one with the title, 'Connell's transfer fee' and it automatically provokes a lengthy discussion about the size of the pitch and the dugouts.
