In answer to sams question i cop for loads of weekends and it annoys me but then work is what finances my leisure time. That means enjoy your time off when you get it but watching Town for the last 10 years has been hard work and i havent often felt ive had value for money.

Used to work at the Coke Ovens in Scunny in the mid 1970's, and every other weekend was on the rota. Absolutely hated it, especially as the bus didn't get back into Grimsby until about 4pm. There were three buses every day leaving Gy then for the steelworks.
After moving north, and working for a local authority I also had to work my share of rostered weekends as well. Used to use TOIL and holidays whenever possible to maintain some semblance of footballing normality. Pride myself though that I never ever took a sickie or the like, ever, during my working life to watch the football.

No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred of the Tory party. So far as I'm concerned they're lower than vermin. Aneurin Bevan.

I don't usually work weekends but I'll be working this Saturday. I own a fresh fish business and I'm attending a garden party in Notts this Saturday in one of my customers gardens to shift a bit of haddock and hopefully hook a few more customers.
