He really needs to deliver the goals now with Connell going, lest we return to the days of a fat left winger being top scorer

No pressure on Hearn in my opinion.

Goals will be spread around rather than one man getting a large percentage.

Well if he can't stand the pressure of having to score goals, he won't be the striker we need.

Hearn may even flourish in the team because of Connells absence. Alan was a very good taker of goals, very opportunistic but not always the best supporting striker, often snatching at chances when a lay off was the better option. Who knows really,....

no pressure on him at all, he came from a lower league so wont be automatically expected to rip it up.

Absolutely spot on.

We'd be in a far better position if we can get other goal scorers in to share the load instead of relying on one man to score a hatful.

Its always better if you have 3 or 4 players chipping in with goals than just one main goalscorer.

Agreed if your main goalscorer gets crocked, chances of winning matches without him dissapear

No good Hearn scoring 2 goals in each game then us conceeding 3 - we need to build from the back - start keeping clean sheets - cut out the daft mistakes - then worry about the frontmen

Maybe that's because he might not actually be any good?  I really hope he will be as good as he appears, but S&H have taken a risk, no doubt.

Good luck to the lad though, I just hope he doesn't get injured.

I wonder how many Swindon fans are saying the same about Alan Connell ?

Baldrick ! The only impression you can do is that of a man with no talent !!

I have little doubt Hearn will prove to be a very good acquisition indeed. (though I may change my mind tomorrow!)
That's partly why I'm gutted - we could have had a cracking partnership this season - maybe even enough to win the league.
Hey ho, got to try to move on...

Did anyone on here really think AC was going to be at town this season ? It was obvious the inevitable departure was going to be announced today at 2 . S&H knew this long before we did , AC probably told them after the wimbledon game , thats why they got hearn in . Ive got no doubt theres another forward lined up to come in . Theses 2 dont mess about
