that christian couple versus the muslim?

nice to see common sense prevail and that couple not get done for race-hate crime. why did the muslim lady wait until the very last day of a lengthy stay in a nice hotel to decide to appear in full muslim dress and then complain about abuse from the owners? im guessing she knew what she was doing all along and knowing the way this country panders to muslims and the knee-jerk reaction she would get from the media she thought it would be simple to get compensation or get out of paying her bill? im not saying any type of predudice is acceptable but it does seem certain groups of people have the "whip hand" over others? i fully expect a tirade of liberals to swiftly condem me as the next adolf hitler for this thread

On the contrary I think it's a very pertinent point. We are supposed to be equal but some are increasingly more equal than others. Having said that not all Muslims are bad, not all Christians are good - it is never that simple. For every person who cries wolf regards racist abuse or religious intolerance, there are no doubt thousands of others who ignore it or are scared to fight back. And of course racism and religious intolerance work both ways: There are areas of Bradford and Luton that are predominantly populated by ethnic minorities, a small number of whom are becoming more militant and looking to drive away those who are not their kind.

I guess the upshot is that multiculturalism doesn't work, has never worked and probably never will.

islam is a peacefull relgion, but like all ideas it is open to abuse from those who quote it as an excuse to disregard the laws and customs of a nation where it is not the majority religion. i agree with you also about multiculturalism not working, if it was working we wouldn't all be  living seperately in ghettos would we? back to the original post, i was fully expecting a frightened labour government to have a hand in making sure these christian hotel owners were seen to be "brought to book" for daring to insult islam! i was very suprised to see them found not guilty.

Gets my vote.  Some old bird with 20 veils and 12 layers of clothing to slow her down, versus 2 westerners in proper fighting rig (jeans and trainers).
Only down side is that with all that clothing you have to land a proper kick for them to feel it.
