6 music although recently I have been loving Rock Radio Manchester, very few stations would play the whole version of Freebird during the day.

radio is flipping awful, that fat twit from leeds gets right on my mammaries, he is an even less talented jonathan ross, spends more time talking about himself than playing music etc

i tend to stick a cd in on the way to work

Must agree with you 100%! An both of them have speech problems, the obese Yorkie sounds like he's always has a blocked nose.. it's either that is nose is blocked with FAT or maybe his ego blocking it!
.. and the other one can't produce his ar se!!
I do listen to planet rock a bit.. but they they don't vary their playlist alot! But the dj's are less annoying and more informed about music! Or Radio 7 for the comedy!

Heart , Club Classics between 6&9(?) on an evening always goes down well when i am travelling around and they seem to be spreading across the country now.
Compass FM in the morning with its golden hour or Lincs FM when in GY
Talksport as well just to laugh at the boll@cks they spout to get you to phone in
and.....Classic F.M when i am driving along a nice stretch of A road, was driving across Dartmoor the other week with Classic on, very relaxing.

I would go for 6music however it is not what it used to be. When it first started it used to be all new music all through the day, then Lesley Duncan was made controller and wanted to make it like Radio 1, god knows why. Now between 7am and 7pm it has become 6music gold with loads of oldies decent tunes but oldies.
This was totally against their remit as 6 was set up to offer new music. Duncan was sacked not long ago because of the Andrew Sachs affair, she also looked after Radio 2, and now I hope they may revert to the original principles.
Between 7pm and 7am though it is still brilliant, in particular Marc Riley 7-9 and Gideon Coe 9-12. If you are listening at work get these guys on the I player and discover some new and exciting music because there is still loads out there.
One other good thing about 6 is George Lamb has lost his daytime slot from next week.
