Please forgive the second thread on this. I won't grace the remembrance thread with it as it appears to contain an arguement I don't want to get into.

Today at 11 o'clock.
I have not seen as big a turnout at the top of Alexander Rd. in all the years I have been going.Obviously it was swollen by the friends and relatives of young Major but there were far more others there than there has been for years.


The 2 minutes silence was always heralded by the firing of a maroon usually by a member of the RNLI.This has been stopped on health and safety grounds,yet small children can fire rockets anywhere in town around this time of year.This bloody country.
