living very close to RAF Coningsby i have the pleasure of seeing these awesome machines nearly all day.

Its about time they were commissioned for use in War to support the Harriers

I'd hate to nit-pick but.. aircraft aren't commisioned, it's not a war in Afghanistan and it's Tornados out there at the minute.

I suppose one of the points I was making was how much raw noise they make in comparison to a tornado.It is a much harsher sound. You can tell which is which even when they are above the clouds.

i know the tornado's are out there, but the harriers have recently returned havent they?
