Seldom any bother Marinette,Sensible precautions with purses and wallets and don't visit the pubs in the proximity.Mind you fair few of the pubs are shut anyway. Its a very very pail shadow of what it used to be. Anyone who went to it 20 years ago, even 10 years ago wouldn't recognise it as the same function. If I'm really honest I don't think it's worth making a special trip for. Nowadays its bossed about by jobsworths,RSPCA men and health and safety inspectors going way way over the top. The horse dealers used to be able to display their horses by riding them up and down, galloping and trotting etc,no saddles just a load of young kids riding bareback. Not allowed now.

Still thinking of going.....don't suppose you know where the best place to park would be, please?

Thanks - no hurry.  We may just pay a flying visit on the way to somewhere else if it's not up to much.

Not going to be much help to you.  The recomendation is Albert ST which is a close as you will get to station rd where they do the trotting. If your coming in from GY turn left at the cenotaph then take the first right and that takes you into Albert st. Most of the usual carparks are normally full depending how early you arrive, so after that folks just seem to park wherever they can find a spot.

Some of the gypsies have already arrived, kids riding horses bareback round Brigg today.

That's a great help - thanks.  Blimey - I didn't think they'd be there as early as this.  It's nearly two weeks away if they stick to the usual date!
