Swine Flu has now hit Mablethorpe, and a student from Birkbeck school has been diagnosed with it. I fear football games will soon be called off, to stop mass sudden out-breaks.

Sounds familiar

Have I nailed you

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

I'd have thought that if football matches were to be called off, then schools and other public places would have to be closed aswell and this really is worst case scenario alongside quarantine. Hopefully won't get that far though...

The government now concede it can not be contained so the best hope is just to treat it. Therefore public places including schools will no longer be shut.

To be honest I'm more worried about the TB outbreak in Scunny.

What is puzzling doctors is that whilst most influenza breakouts strike the infirm and elderly, swine flu is much more prevalent amongst under-20's. Apparently, this is a first.

At long last - something to be said for old age.

Living in a village that is surrounded by fields of pigs,

You would think I would be worried,

NO NOT AT ALL.

Like everything else nowadays,

The goverment goes overboard with something new,

Calm down,

You are more likely to die crossing the road than of swine flu.

Don't worry about it. One of the guys in my team went down with Swine Flu the week before last. Another member of my London team has gone down with it.

Nothing to worry about; you end up in bed for a couple of days and then you're back on your feet.

Yes Macca most people are ok if they get it. Its been announced today that the first "healty" person has died from it. I'm not worried about myself but I'm certainly worried about a few members of my family who have underlying medical conditions.

Mmm. I'd expect something better from someone of intelligence. We haven't seen anything yet regards swine flu. The worst is yet to come.

Yes, the worst is yet to come; we'll have many deaths come Winter, but, for now, most people will be OK.

It's clear we'll have a pretty effective cleansing of the over eighties come the end of the year.

That said, the 3 people I know who have contracted Swine Flu have had 2 or 3 days in bed, and have been back to work within 5 days.

Michah Richards ( man city ) has got it,

He's on holiday in Cyprus and said,

"I felt terrible and thought I might have alcohol poisoning"

He is recovering well and should be able to return home soon.

Up to 700,000 to die in the UK according to someone I spoke to from the Dept of Health. She sits on the crisis committee.

I don't belive it myself, but she certainly knows more than me about such things.

Its definately best to get it now, it should be left to its own devices and just left to spread quickly. That way when it really starts to get serious, most will be immune.

Fail. If it mutates and becomes a stronger strain then you wouldn't have a natural immunity. Doctors are advising to stay well away from any so called 'swine flu parties'.

I think you should read my earlier post. Unlike other flu viruses which are predominant in the elderly and the infirm, swine flu has a higher than average strike rate in those under 20. This is highly unusual.

However there is a difference between catching it and dying from it. Once it takes pandemic status I would expect more fatalities in older groups. As regards your sister, fatalities from swine flu at present are still exceedingly rare. Don't worry, she'll come through it. I hope she gets well soon.

Mr McGee, don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

Two children are suspected to have it at a school in Lincoln.

We have had a crisis document through for the pandemic. One of the first things on the list is if someone dies in the school staff should return to work to stop the spread of panic. Who writes these things!

I know a few people with it, and i finish work on Friday for 5 weeks, and im going to sit inside playing on the xbox wearing a mask. hopefully ill be safe lol!!
