Were you most looking forward to buying but when you did realised it was a load of rubbish.

Two candidates spring to mind for me.

Oasis - Be Here Now

After the brilliance of the first 2 albums I was eagerly looking forward to this but was not impressed at all and haven't been with any of their subsequent releases.

And

Depeche Mode - Songs Of Faith and Devotion

After the previous album "Violator" which is still one of my all-time favourite albums, ("Waiting for the Night to Fall" being one of my all-time favourite songs still) I was well looking forward to this but I was less than impressed with DM's latest change of direction. Still a massive DM fan though and their recent album "Sounds of the Universe" is their best since Violator IMO.
