In Manchester for a quality pint I go to a place called the new oxford http://www.thenewoxford.co.uk/  does real ale and continental lagers, it's a bit out of the way but well worth the visit and you get a few faces in there, I've seen the usual Corrie lot and also Mark E Smith.

When I lived in Cleethorpes I did not really have a local but used to go to LLoyds, the barge and end up in Gullivers, dont know what its like now but Cleethorpes/Grimsby was hardly a hotbed of Alternative music pubs back in the 90s.

Why did this old thread come back?

Anyway, I was in the New Oxford last week and it had the Coronation Street actors in again. Earlier this year I was in there and John O'Shea turns up in his Lamborghini (I think that's what it was) and parked it illegally. When I went to speak to him to tell him that a traffic warden was writing him a ticket he went outside, spoke to the female traffic warden who then removed the ticket from his windscreen and had a giggle with O'Shea and went about her business...

I guess the VIP tickets were in the post...

I wonder if it works like this when Danny North parks on a double yellow outside the Mariners' Rest...

There are the best    And a few Town fans there as well.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'
