Has something gone on with Mayer and Glennon?
The last I heard they had a minor road accident in February. Neither have been anywhere near the squad since.

I read they are both back training on the grass. Glennon was available for selection and Maher needed another week.

Pleased to see Vernam starting. Gives the opposition something to think about. I think this is the line up that beat Newport.

Be very happy with a point today, but am really hoping for Harrogate to beat Sutton.

Thanks for the reply DB, I must have got it wrong I understood they hadn’t been badly hurt and was expecting them to be available soon after the accident

Yes come on Harrogate! Another team I want to win today is MK Dons against Mansfield. We could really do with MK going in to the last game of the season against Sutton knowing a win would put them up automatically

I'm not, he was very good first half against Newport and showed why he's valuable to us. I'd say he's one of the players that would get into any team in this league. He's both footed, direct, quick and makes good decisions. He was basically a left winger against Newport
when we had the ball everyone shuffled over and they set up as a 4. Makes sense to have him start against a team in ropey form, get them worried about going the other way as going forward we create very little.

Hopefully Artell and Ainley will haunt their old club.

Strange ground this. Most of it is like Dagenham or Stevenage but then one stand from Deepdale

What's Obikwu got to do to get dropped, he's tried every trick in the book so far and he still gets picked 😉. Let's hope he looks a slightly bit interested today and puts in a sparkling performance.

Had that been us the linesman would have been jumping up and down and the 4th official would be running on the pitch to protest. We get zero luck with these things where somehow 4 officials saw nothing even when it was blatant.

And they said he couldn't play for a full 90 mins, too. Great signing, just what we needed an experienced head that battles and battles and gets goals. So happy for him, can tell he's so pleased.

We took a punt on an injury prone player and it's paying off. Risk signing, hence why he isn't at a better club.

But he's not injury prone? He'd played 20 games in L1 before signing for us. He just wasn't favoured at Cheltenham. He's had one injury in his career but every season he's played an average of 35 games.

Every player worked their socks off today .

I was worried when we went 2-0 for some reason as all I could think about was the words of Rolly Godfrey “ I’d rather it be 1-0 than 2-0 “

Hopefully we just need a point now and that’ll be it

Like day and night between today and the lethargic performance against Harrogate. Team looks up for it, motivated and full of confidence. If one thing Artell knows it's Crewe's tactical philosophy because he created it and knows how to exploit the weaknesses.
