Not a bad bench for City then, an incredible squad.

Mind you plenty of questions still to be answered about how it was assembled.

Not sure what the fuss is about if that was us and we didn’t get a pen for that many on here would be going bonkers, me included.

The current rules are bóllocks though, aren’t they? The functional reasons the handball rule exists are obvious, but that was unintentional, unavoidable and had no impact whatsoever on the passage of play. Surely at least one of those criteria should apply?

Based on the rules as they are today, it was a penalty. Regardless, it’s a nonsensical outcome.

I wouldn't, well if other teams were getting them then yes maybe.

The rules are ridiculous.
Are you supposed to not try win the ball just in case?

VAR is dreadful. I know we might argue it helped us out but even that’s a joke, so you can have it in one game in the cup, but not others…straight away it’s not a fair system.

That’s never been handball and for a club like Man Utd to be hanging out for such urine poor decisions as that, it’s flipping embarrassing.

There’s one team trying to win, the other are just hoping and praying…

Average game so far... On a more positive note I just did the half time ladbrokes quiz and got 6/6 correct.
Hoping for a 2 1 United win now  >:( :X

BBC managed to somehow make this about Wrexham

Pretty sure holohan likes a bit of fa cup VAR.

There is no doubt that more correct decisions are made with the help of VAR but I think it takes too much away from the game.
I suppose there is a massive difference between a league 2 game and one on the prem. or world cup but I definitely prefer being at games where it is not being used.

Yep, it would have been 5-1!

But i get it, I still dream “what if”, which is ridiculous considering how good they were.

For me Southampton and Brighton away was enough. Unbelievable 2 games and atmospheres.
I choose to support the town I was born in for life so I accept things may not be as rosey as being a glory supporter supporting a team because they win things  :K)

Man U will be in for Harry Kane in the next month after this showing, they really need a centre forward.

I hope he stays for another season, then flips the bird to Levy and leaves for nothing.

Personally i think Kane would be amazing at Bayern Munich and would win stuff there, but he’s destined to win nothing his entire career (EURO 2024 aside, obviously).

It was an accidental hand ball, but under the current rules its a penalty.

What gets me is when a ref doesn't stick buy the rule. For instance, a keeper deliberately handles the ball outside the area to prevent a goal,. Red card. Unless you are that twit from 2015 who 'didn't want to spoil the game'

Makes my blood boil thinking about it, but I am almost over it now.

I couldn't either. definitely not intentional hand ball.

What has whether it was intentional or not got to do with it being a penalty or not?

The rule, or it’s interpretation, is apparently being changed again for next season.
